poppy seeds... we had an interesting conversation at lunch today --our family IS interesting-- and it was about poppy seeds... apparently they came from opium seeds, and are considered opiates... this came up coz we had creamy poppy seed dressing for our salad --yeah! fit for life & opiated!... anyway, my brother Peps said he heard/saw it on ?TLC one time... and we were teasing him about that maybe a lot of what we eat have been used for some sort of destructive element --uhm, maybe they use peanut butter & cemewnt for C4s and just paint it grey?... but yes, poppy seeds are from opium BUT it the seeds themselves don't make us crave crack... just like cocain used to be in Coca-Cola doesn't mean our 'baby boom' parents were a bunch of bourgeoise cokeheads... "pop, anyone?" *fizz*
